BBC Performing Arts Fund announces new funding

Howard Lake | 22 March 2012 | News

The BBC Performing Arts Fund has announced that it will offer two sets of grants this year.
The fund makes a variety of grants throughout the year, based on three areas of the arts – music, dance and theatre. This year it will distribute up to £250,000 among grassroots community music groups, allowing them to reach new and wider audiences, “and push themselves further with new projects or commissions”.
It will also award up to £200,000 to music organisations to host a BBC Performing Arts Fund Fellow. This will allow up and coming talent – whether they are musicians, composers, conductors, producers – to receive training and development within a professional environment.
Details of the grants rounds will be published in the next few months.
