Birmingham Post Rich List 2012 published

The Birmingham Post has published its annual rich list, detailing the 50 wealthiest people in the Midlands.
The top three in the 2012 list are:
1. Kirsty Bertarelli (£6.5bn)
2. Sir Anthony Bamford (£1.85bn)
3. John Caudwell (£1.6bn) – [2011: No.2 – £1.5bn]
Bertarelli retains her top position for the fourth year in a row, having increasing her worth from £5.5 billion in 2011. Married to biotechnology tycoon Ernesto Bertarelli, she is a singer and fashion designer, and supports charities including the UK-Swiss Smiling Children charity through the Bertarelli Foundation.
Sir Anthony Bamford and John Caudwell swap places on the list compared to last year.
