Credit Suisse chooses Centrepoint as charity of the year 2012

Howard Lake | 18 January 2012 | News

Financial services provider Credit Suisse has chosen Centrepoint as its UK Charity of the Year 2012. The charity was selected by staff in a vote.
The money raised by the bank and its staff during the year will be donated to Centrepoint’s Learning Team, which helps homeless young people aged 16-25 access work and education. Planned activities include dragon boat racing and a Channel swim.
Centrepoint’s Chief Executive, Seyi Obakin, said: “We are delighted to have the backing of Credit Suisse employees. The young people we help at Centrepoint haven’t had the same chances as most of us. But thanks to the support of Credit Suisse, which will safeguard our Learning Team, we’ll be able to give more young people the opportunity to get the qualifications and work experience they need to achieve their ambitions.”
