Civil Society Media seeks entries to the Charity Awards 2012

Howard Lake | 1 December 2011 | News

Civil Society Media is inviting charities to enter its annual Charity Awards. Now in their 13th year, the awards recognise excellence within charities. They are sponsored once again by the Charities Aid Foundation and supported by The Times and The Sunday Times.
Announcing the awards, Daniel Phelan urged charities to use the awards as an opportunity to provide clear evidence of their achievements and the impact they make.
He said: “The cosiness that may have characterised some charity and donor relationships is increasingly being replaced by a more commercial lexicon of ‘key performance indicators’ and ‘return on investment.’
“Funders are becoming more and more interested in the results that charities achieve – those that cannot support their claims of success with clear evidence will struggle.”
Entry to the awards is free and open to all charities of any size based anywhere in the UK.
The deadline for entries is 9 March 2012, and the awards will be presented on the evening of 14 June 2012 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
