SPAR UK is again raising funds for NSPCC and ChildLine with its SPAR Festive Feast sandwich. This year is has “a new and improved recipe” and is “stuffed full of turkey and Lincolnshire pork sausage, topped with lettuce, mayonnaise, stuffing, bacon, red onion and cranberry sauce”.
The handmade sandwiches are on sale from 17 November until 23 December in all SPAR regions except Northern Ireland. Festive Feast will retail at a recommended price of £2.99, with a contribution of 10p per sandwich donated directly to the NSPCC and ChildLine.
SPAR UK Marketing Manager Rebecca Whitmore said that last year the SPAR Festive Feast sandwich raised around £3,000 as part of the company’s work with its partner charities.
She added: “Our overall target is to reach £750,000 in donations for the NSPCC this year. The NSPCC and SPAR have been working in partnership for five years and have already raised over £2.5 million to help protect children across the UK.”
SPAR is also again supporting the NSPCC’s Letter from Santa initiative this Christmas. For a suggested £5 donation to the NSPCC, Santa will write a personalised letter to a child if customers order before 16 December in the initiative. Last year this raised £12,000.
