GDS International seeks charity partners for 2012

Howard Lake | 8 November 2011 | News

Global business events company GDS International is inviting applications from charities in the UK and Australia to be its charity partner in 2012.
This year the company set up GDS Foundation through which it raised funds for autism charities due to a family interest of the chairman, Spencer Green. GDS staff raised just over £31,000 in three months. Now Green and GDS Foundation manager Hannah Duffie are looking for another worthy cause, or causes, to support in 2012.
“The charity or charities should be working in the UK, US and Australia,” explained Duffie. “That is where we have our offices, and we like to send small groups to work with the charities as volunteerism makes our fundraising real – and it is a superb way to encourage and foster personal growth.”
To apply or to nominate a charity, email Hannah Duffie with the following details:
1. Charity name, purpose, charity no. and website.
2. Charity locations in the UK, US and Australia (or charities similar to yourself, if you only operate within one country).
3. A 500-word description giving reasons why GDS International should support your cause.
4. Details of how GDS staff volunteers can help your charity in ways other than fundraising.
5. Full contact details.
Founded in 1993, GDS International specialises in producing business-to-business summits, conferences, online information and advisory group gatherings.
