FRSB and IoF host fundraising courses for small charities
The Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB) and the Institute of Fundraising (IoF) are to run a programme of fundraising training days intended to build the fundraising skills of smaller organisations.
The courses, supported by the Office for Civil Society, are for charities with voluntary incomes under £1 million and which are members of the FRSB. They cover five topics:
• Developing a fundraising strategy
• Raising funds from the local community and events
• Raising support and funds from the corporate sector
• Securing funding from grant making trusts and foundations
• Tax effective giving
The one-day courses aim to ensure that delegates get to understand fundraising regulation and best practice, as well as practical advice on how to implement the skills. They take place from November to March 2012 in London, Hull, Newcastle, Cambridge, Bristol, Milton Keynes, Leeds, Birmingham, and Exeter.
The courses cost £20 per day and include refreshments.
