People's Postcode Trust small grants programme opens again

Howard Lake | 10 October 2011 | News

The People’s Postcode Trust is again inviting applications to its small grants programme. Funded by players of the People’s Postcode Lottery, the programme is open to causes across Scotland, England and Wales. Organisations can apply for grants of up to £10,000.
All community groups are invited to apply for funding, including registered charities, sports clubs and voluntary organisations, amongst others. All registered charities are invited to apply for up to £10,000 (£5,000 in Wales); non-registered good causes can apply for up to £2,000.
People’s Postcode Trust’s manager, Clara Govier, said: “In such a challenging economic climate, the funding is a fantastic opportunity for so many good causes. No organisation is too big or too small, and over the years we have seen how just £500 can make the world of difference to an organisation.”
Organisations can benefit from a grant even if they’re received one before. For example, Greenock District Scout Council has received over £27,000 funding from the Trust over three years.
The application round closes on 11 November 2011.
