The Tigrent Challenge supports Make-A-Wish Foundation
Tigrent Learning UK embraces 2012 team spirit with the launch of The Tigrent Challenge supporting Make-A-Wish Foundation
Tigrent Learning UK, one of the UK’s most respected and established provider of professional and personal development training programmes, is embracing 2012 Olympic spirit with the launch of The Tigrent Challenge, a fundraising initiative based on sporting challenges, in aid of Make-A-Wish.
Starting this September, for a consecutive 12-month period, Tigrent Learning UK, a Gold Supporter of Make-A-Wish, is hoping to raise in excess £35,000 pounds from The Tigrent Challenge, adding to the £330,000 that the extended Tigrent ‘family’ has raised since 2007.
The premise of The Tigrent Challenge is a 12-month sporting initiative whereby all members of the Tigrent team, including customers past and present (up to 100,000 people in total), crew, personnel, mentors and trainers, can come together and sign up for the likes of The Bupa Great North Run, a London to Paris Cycle, a Skydive Day etc and raise money for Make-A-Wish under the Tigrent team banner.
According to Iain Edwards, Managing Director and VP-International for Tigrent Learning UK:-
“Efficient teams make the world go round. As a former Army man myself and as an avid sports fan, the essence of the collective team voice and spirit is paramount to success – and where is this most visible? In a team or sporting environment.
“Tigrent students, many of whom have gone on to achieve greatness in their lives both professionally and personally, would not have reached the finish line without the help of an invaluable power team. Our deeply valued relationship with Make-A-Wish reflects the nature of how we work as an organisation and I am honoured to be launching The Tigrent Challenge this Autumn,” he added.
Karen England, Director of Fundraising for Make-A-Wish, commented:-
“Make-A-Wish, like any charitable body, relies on the ongoing support of corporates and individuals in order to be able to fulfil our mission of granting as many ‘Wishes’ as humanly possible to as many young people, on a daily basis.
“However, our greatest value comes from building relationships with our corporate partners, over time, as we have done with Tigrent Learning UK. This industry shift has become more apparent over the last few years, mid and post-recession, where perhaps industry has stepped back and re-evaluated philanthropy and support, both in the workplace and at home.
“Since 2007, I have had the pleasure of getting to know Tigrent Learning UK and its people both personally and professionally. I am regularly impressed with the organisation’s collective consciousness and ethos in relation to giving back. Many people I have met from the Tigrent team whom have achieved financial freedom through their training, coupled with hard work and commitment, give back as part of their ongoing life values – taught that with wealth comes responsibility and the opportunity to help others after you have helped yourself. And this can be a lesson to us all,” she added.
The Tigrent Challenge is a closed sporting challenge for those associated with Tigrent Learning UK. Students past and present, as well as trainers, mentors, office personnel and independent contractors linked to Tigrent, are welcome to participate.
