Alan Gosschalk joins Scope as Director of Fundraising
Disability charity Scope has appointed Alan Gosschalk as Director of Fundraising after he had spent two months as Interim Director.
He will be responsible for managing a team of over 40 fundraisers and growing the charity’s income, including focusing on income generation through social finance and venture philanthropy.
Gosschalk has worked in fundraising for over 20 years, including working as Director of Fundraising at both Shelter and RNID where he was responsible for doubling their income. More recently he has worked as as an Interim Fundraising Director and consultant.
He was Vice Chair of the Institute of Fundraising for five years and acting Chair from January to July this year. He has been Chair of the ImpACT Coalition since July 2005.
Scope Chief Executive, Richard Hawkes described Gosschalk as “one of the most experienced and respected Fundraising Directors in this country” who had “already bought a huge amount to the table” during his time at the charity.
