AMREF UK appoints new Chief Executive and Corporate Partnerships Manager
AMREF UK has appointed Belinda Coote as its new Interim Chief Executive Officer and James Fletcher as Corporate Partnerships Manager.
Coote spent 18 years with Oxfam in a variety of roles both in the UK and overseas, including in Nepal, Bangladesh and South Africa. She has been Chief Executive of Medical Aid for Palestinians and Lattitude Global Volunteering (2006-2009). More recently she has been undertaking consultancies and interim management roles to support organisations through periods of change including for Merlin and EveryChild.
Fletcher joins AMREF UK from Breast Cancer Care, where he worked for nine years, mostly recently on its partnerships with Dorothy Perkins and pharmaceutical companies.
AMREF has developed longstanding partnerships with major corporates including Accenture, AstraZeneca, Diageo and GlaxoSmithKline. Its partnership with The Guardian and Barclays in Katine won a Business in the Community Coffey International Example of Excellence award.
