Eaga Community Fund opens again in Northern Ireland

The eaga Community Fund is now accepting applications from Northern Ireland community projects that “educate, raise awareness and demonstrate community involvement in addressing environmental issues at grassroots level”.
Grants of up to £3,000 are available via the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland which says that “priority will be given to practical projects that have greatest environmental impact”.
Environmental issues that qualify for funding are:
* Natural environment matters – urban or rural
* Recycling
* Conservation
* Fuel poverty
* Renewable energy
* Responsible water use
* Energy efficiency
* Sustainable transport
* Eco systems
* Climate Change
Applications must be submitted to the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland by 31 March 2011.
