The Royal Cornwall Donations Box

Howard Lake | 8 March 2011 | News

I Was commissioned by The Royal Cornwall Museum to make this automata donations box. When a coin is inserted (in this case 50p) the automata starts and runs for about 20 seconds. It has proved to be a very sucessful way of raising funds. Although the initial cost of the automata was high, it should pay for it’s self in a short time . It has also become a popular exhibit in the museum. you can see more of my automaton donation boxes on my web site http://www.keithnewsteadautomata.com/
