Animal charity The Blue Cross has appointed a new director of fundraising. Mike Crossley, who took up the post last month, is responsible for the charity’s income generation including the development of a new fundraising strategy for 2011 and beyond.
Last year the charity raised £25.4 million to help sick and homeless animals nationwide through legacies, donations, investment income and fundraising initiatives.
Crossley joins The Blue Cross from fellow animal charity, PDSA, where he was Director of Marketing. He brings over 25 years’ experience in marketing across a broad range of sectors, including the third sector.
