BBC Two programme tomorrow on wills and charitable bequests

Howard Lake | 13 January 2011 | News

Tomorrow evening BBC Two presents a documentary programme about families facing difficulties in writing their wills. “Can’t Take It with You” is presented by Sir Gerry Robinson and tomorrow night’s episode is entitled ‘Charity Doesn’t Begin at Home’, making it useful viewing for legacy fundraisers.
“We have to get past this very British taboo about not talking about death or money,” says Sir Gerry Robinson. He interviews two families in which the wife wishes to leave her share of the estate to charity but the husband wants to provide for the future of his stepchildren.
Lawyer Sue Medder explains the legal options in each family’s case, and writes their wills.
Can’t Take It With You is on at 9pm tomorrow (Friday) on BBC Two (except Northern Ireland (Analogue), Wales (Analogue)).
