Customers at AMT Coffee kiosks and shops around the UK will be encouraged to purchase an extra special cupcake with their usual order this December. The fair-trade coffee company is supporting Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and will be selling cupcake pin badges in aid of CLIC Sargent, the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, from 1 to 31 December 2010.
AMT Coffee has outlets in railway stations and airports across the UK where commuters and leisure travellers will be able to pick up an illustrated cupcake pin badge for a minimum donation of £1.
Jon Hassall, Chief Operating Officer at AMT Coffee, said: “We’re proud to be supporting CLIC Sargent this December and I’m sure our customers will join us in raising as much as we can for children and young people with cancer. We love the quirky cupcake pin badges and I think our customers will too.”
During Childhood Cancer Awareness Month CLIC Sargent is highlighting the impact of cancer and treatment on children and their families, and the benefits of helping young people with cancer to spend more time at home, so that they can keep up with their education, friendships and everyday lives.
Rebecca Rose, Regional Corporate Account Manager at CLIC Sargent, said: “We’re delighted to have the support of AMT Coffee and its’ customers during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The cupcake pin badges are a fun and simple way to show support for children and young people with cancer this December.
CLIC Sargent has one simple aim – to improve the lives of children and young people with cancer. Support from partners like AMT Coffee is vital in enabling the charity to offer clinical, practical and emotional support to families affected by childhood cancer, right across the UK.”
