Each One Counts improves its offer on recycling mobile phones
Recycling company Environmental Business Products, which runs the mobile phone fundraising programme Each One Counts, is now offering improved rates on donated used mobile phones to charities.
It has created a new joint venture company, Certicell (Europe), in partnership with one of the U.S. mobile recycling company. The new operation is now handling all mobiles recycling for the 100 or so charities using the Each One Counts scheme.
As a result Each One Counts is replacing its original ‘flat rate’ fee for mobiles with “competitive values” for each individual model. The precise values are based on frequent market analysis, say EBP, “guaranteeing charities a fair price on a continuous basis”. The company says that this should boost average income to charities on mobiles by over 50%.
In addition the number of models included in Each One Counts’ programme has increased, to what is “probably the longest list on the UK market”.
“Our improved package on mobiles means that now is the ideal time for charities to look closely at the benefits of our integrated Each One Counts mobiles and cartridge collection scheme”, said Mike Berry, EBP’s UK Collections Manager.
