Anna Southall appointed Acting Chair of the Big Lottery Fund

Anna Southall, Vice Chair of the Big Lottery Fund, has been confirmed as Acting Chair of the Fund. She takes up the position from Sir Clive Booth who has headed the Fund’s Board for seven years and who will step down at the end of this month.
Although the recruitment process for the new Chair had begun, it did so before the Government, following its Comprehensive Spending Review, transferred policy responsibility for the Fund from the Department of Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) to the Cabinet Office. The latter organisation plans to make changes to the role and remit of the Fund, but these were not of course included in the original role specification.
So, the recruitment process will begin again with a revised set of selection criteria.
Meanwhile, Southall takes up her Acting Chair role at the end of the month.
