NSPCC appoints Whitewater for Christmas viral campaign

Howard Lake | 7 November 2010 | News

The NSPCC has appointed Whitewater to create a viral campaign for their Christmas fundraising activity, the first time that the children’s charity has used social media to drive traffic to its ‘Letter from Santa’ campaign.
The viral campaign will launch on the NSPCC’s Facebook page on 8 November. It will feature video clips of children being asked who they think Santa is, where he lives and how he gets down chimneys. Their funny and sometimes baffling answers can be shared with friends via Facebook, Twitter and email, “spreading the spirit of Christmas”.
Lucy Mann, Digital Project Manager at the NSPCC said: “When Whitewater pitched their idea to us they demonstrated that producing creative content within Facebook could help us drive our online fundraising campaigns and achieve measurable results. We’re looking forward to the launch and hope that taking our Letter from Santa campaign into the social media arena for the first time will be a success and will help us to raise more funds for children this Christmas.”
