Ireland charities to win €3,000 in Better Together Campaign

Howard Lake | 4 October 2010 | News

The Wheel will be launching a major national public awareness campaign on 13 October to help build support for charities, community groups, clubs and associations by providing them with an opportunity to showcase their work to an international audience.
The Better Together! campaign will centre on an online video website and a national competition for the most inspiring and engaging Youtube clips. The premise is that organisations should strive to show the world the great work they do in the community by creating a short video clip (no longer than two minutes) around the theme “Better Together!
All videos should successfully communicate what the organisation does, why it is better to work together and how best the public can support this work. The creators of the three best clips will win €3,000 each for their organisation.
The campaign is being run by EBS and supported by Intel, Today FM and The Irish Examiner. The Wheel (www.wheel.ie), assisted by various partners in the community and voluntary sector, will direct the campaign.
The Better Together! campaign will be promoted through a national radio, newspaper and online advertising campaign (1-20 November, 2010). The closing date for entries is 15 November and the winners will be announced at a special ceremony in Dublin on 25 November.
