Leading Aberdeen Accountancy Firm Makes Charity Donation

Howard Lake | 5 July 2010 | News

Leading Aberdeen accountancy firm Fyfe Moir and Associates has handed over more than £6,000 to charity.
The Queens Road-based firm, headed by Westhill residents Alan Moir and Graham Fyfe, held a race night in aid of the Scottish Association of Sign Language Interpreters (SASLI) at the Ashdale Hall in Westhill earlier this year and raised the grand total of £6465.23.
In September, SASLI will host the European Forum of Sign Language Interpreters (EFSLI) conference in Glasgow. The money raised at the Fyfe Moir and Associates event will allow subsidised travel for delegates from countries where interpreters may be disadvantaged, enabling them to attend the conference and enjoy support and fellowship from their European peers.
The fun night was compered by local comedy favourite Patrice and included a full programme of races, stovies, a bar, a raffle and an auction.
Alan Moir said: “We were delighted with the success of the race night and we hope that this contribution will help delegates who might not otherwise be able to attend the September conference in Glasgow.”
Fyfe Moir and Associates is located at 58 Queens Road, Aberdeen. For further information visit www.fyfemoirassociates.com or call (01224) 208729.
