Towergate raises more than £350,000 for ChildLine

Insurance firm Towergate has raised £357,224 for ChildLine during 2008 and 2009. The sum was raised through a series of staff fundraising events such as sky-dives and office dress-down days, and by matching client and staff donations.
The money could help enable ChildLine to recruit and train 223 volunteer counsellors across the UK. In their first year alone, these counsellors could help up to 44,600 children in danger and distress, and bring comfort to many more children in years to come.
