Howard Lake | 30 May 2010 | News

The ACEVO Funding Roadshow, featuring speakers from leading statutory, lottery and trust funders, together with representatives of the new Government, will take place in three cities in July.
This year’s event, subtitled ‘Charity funding and the new Government’, will take place in London’s Central Hall, Westminster, on 1 July, in the West Yorkshire Playhouse, Leeds on 13 July, and at the National Motorcycle Museum, Birmingham on 15 July.
Government speakers include the Minister for Civil Society, Nick Hurd MP, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, the Rt Hon Iain Duncan Smith MP, and the Minister for Arts and Heritage, Ed Vaizey MP.
The conference will follow the Emergency Budget (which takes place on 22 June) and will examine its implications for the charity sector. It is presented by Action Planning and ACEVO in association with the Charity Finance Directors’ Group, the Charities Aid Foundation, Blackbaud and the Big Lottery Fund, whose Chief Executive, Peter Wanless, will deliver a keynote address to the launch.
There will also be a session on online fundraising and communications strategy led by Ted Hart from the USA.
The attendance fee of £136 includes lunch, all presentation materials and a networking reception.
