Facebook have announced today they will introduce additional security measures to protect children using their service. But is it enough?

An introduction to AI for charity professionals by Ross Angus

Facebook faced challenging times recently, so they decided to improve the safety of children using this social network. There will be a 24 hr hot line in place, they are founding educational programmes as well as additional functionality to report potential abuse. However they are still reluctant to add the safety button suggested by the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre.

Facebook will also feature ads of charities working with kids to raise awareness of children related topics.

I like the idea of moving towards education and prevention, but is it enough to avoid tragedies? What do you think?
