New online community for charity digital staff
Not-for-profit sector digital agency Enable Interactive has created the “Because it’s Good” blog to help charity and voluntary sector staff explore how digital technology can help them and their organisations.
Launching at last Thursday’s nfptweetup event at Breast Cancer Care’s offices in London, “Because it’s Good” aims to become “a community of the smartest minds in NfP and digital offering best practice advice to drive innovation in the sector”.
The blog combines content from Enable’s team of digital experts and other experts in digital campaigning and fundraising. There are also articles from staff at charities including Mencap, Breast Cancer Care and The Princess Royal Trust for Carers.
Bertie Bosredon, Assistant Director of Services at Breast Cancer Care, said: “All charities have a lot of key insight to share and Because it’s Good will give the sector one place to go and show off our digital successes as well as share our experiences and learning with our peers. To be able to be truly collaborative within the charity sector and to share knowledge across all business concerns is beneficial to everyone.”
Nick Torday, Account Director at Enable Interactive, and formerly at Breast Cancer Care, said: “Because it’s Good’ is about showcasing the best digital ideas from NfPs and showing that UK charities are at the forefront of digital innovation. They may have fewer resources than their peers in the commercial sector, but this makes them work much smarter”.
