Remember A Charity, the consortium of over 140 charities that works to raise awareness of charitable legacies, has appointed Rob Cope as its new Campaign Director.
Reporting to the Remember A Charity Executive Group and the Chief Executive of the Institute of Fundraising, Cope is tasked with leading an integrated communications, marketing and membership campaign designed to make gifts in wills the social norm.
Cope was previously Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications at the Prince’s Trust. He was with The Prince’s Trust for seven years, overseeing all high-profile national campaigns, including the first national youth week and The Trust’s 30th birthday appeal on ITV1.
Before joining the Trust, he worked for several leading PR agencies campaigning on numerous issues including ageism as well as a national drive to improve adult literacy.
Stephen George, Chair of Remember A Charity and Development Director for Legacies at the NSPCC, said: “With new bursts of the TV campaign, a new will providers and partnerships campaign, our ongoing PR and a repeat of our awareness week – now called Remember A Charity week – all on the agenda, Rob’s leadership, knowledge, experience and skills will undoubtedly be invaluable to our Campaign.”
