A Santa Fun Run has helped international bank Santander nearly to double its fundraising target for Help the Hospices, its 2009 Charity of the Year.
Over 220 runners wore Santa suits to raise over £20,000 for Help the Hospices in the Santa Fun Run on 13 December, as they ran 5km though London’s Kensington Gardens.
Santander‘s fundraising total has now reached £198,000.
During 2009 23,000 staff from 1,300 branches of Abbey, Bradford & Bingley and Alliance & Leicester and their nine head office sites across the UK took part in a range of fundraising activities from sponsored walks to selling pin badges in branches.
