Bovril offers £100,000 for 'great outdoors' makeover projects

Howard Lake | 30 October 2009 | News

Bovril is offering £100,000 to be split between small, local projects that aim to revive the countryside. This could be a broken stile on a nature trail, a dishevelled jetty, a rickety old fishing hut, or a campsite in need of repair.

Projects can be submitted online and the public is then encouraged to vote for them. Bovril’s Great Outdoors Revival website includes tools such as a downloadable poster and a send-to-a-friend messaging facility to let groups or individuals encourage their contacts to vote for their project.

The funding is only available for repair projects, not projects that need starting or building from scratch.

The campaign is being run in partnership with the Angling Trust, Ramblers, and The Camping and Caravanning Club.

To nominate your project you will need to buy a promotional jar of Bovril.
