Atlantic makes new round of grant awards
Atlantic Philanthropies, one of Europe’s largest foundations, has announced a number of significant new grants in Ireland this year with a total value of over £2.7 million.
The largest grant was given to Barnardos in Northern Ireland which received £1.837 million over three years to help parents in disadvantaged areas better participate in supporting their children’s learning. The funding was given under Atlantic’s ‘Disadvantaged Children & Youth.’ Programme.
Lobbying company Stratagem was given a grant of £258,000 over two years to enhance the capacity and skills of all current Ageing Programme grantees in influencing public policy.

Early Years have been given funding of £120,000 to support for the World Forum on Early Care and Education Conference in Belfast.
In the Republic of Ireland the Irish Association of Palliative Care has been given a grant of €504,000 for the implementation of its five year strategic plan while Schizophrenia Ireland has been awarded €40,000 for strategic planning.
