New CEO appointed at Resource Alliance
Hans Wolters has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of global not-for-profit capacity building organisation The Resource Alliance.
The announcement comes a day ahead of the organisation’s International Fundraising Congress in Holland, the 29th annual event.
Wolters is an experienced Dutch organisational development expert and fundraiser. Following a career in policy advisory roles within the Dutch and European Parliaments, he has been a director of WWF Belgium, WWF International, and Greenpeace Europe.

He joins the Resource Alliance from the European Council for Foreign Relations where he was Director and COO. During this two years there he doubled this pan-European think tank’s income from £1.4 million GBP to £2.8 million.
He will take up his role from 2 November 2009, taking over from Interim CEO, Lyndall Stein, who has managed the organisation for the last eight months while the recruitment process has been taking place.
Wolters said: “I am convinced that The Resource Alliance and its mission is an important asset to the international fundraising community with a major role to play.
“I am passionate about bringing organisations and their people to the next level of development and I’m eager to start working with The Resource Alliance on strategies for continued growth and secure sustainable funding.
“I will be looking at new forms of entrepreneurship and intense network development across the organisation, whilst at the core I hope to offer creative leadership with a focus on performance and service excellence within an enjoyable work environment.”
