J4b Software and Publishing Limited, the company that publishes a range of funding information databases for businesses, local authorities and charities/voluntary organisations has been bought by Idox PLC, an AIM-listed company that is a supplier of software solutions and services principally to the UK public sector.

Idox paid £800,000 in cash. J4b had revenues of £2 million for the year ended 31 December 2008, an operating profit of £300,000 and net assets of £200,000 at 31 March 2009.

Jeremy Philips, Managing Director of J4b, will join the executive team of Idox, bringing his experience in electronic content management, database design and publishing.
