BUDGET: £20m hardship fund – Yes, please…
Pity about gift aid, but I’m excited by the funds available to take a leading role in employing young people, aged between 18 and 24 years old from disadvantaged groups and unemployment hotspots.
Let’s make sure we do it right and really train and encourage a new generation to help us boost our income, and not just to become temporary workers doing unskilled jobs that lead nowhere.
After all this is Generation Y – addicted to mobile media, social networking and all those things we know we should be getting into, but probably have quite got round to just yet. Well, now is our chance to get stuck into new media, web 2.0, the mobile technology revolution and to become finely tuned and really ready for the upswing in 2010.
