Barry Gower to speak at UK Fundraising Gift Aid event

As maximising Gift Aid becomes ever more important for charities, UK Fundraising has invited Gift Aid specialist Barry Gower to present a half-day training session on ‘Effective and Innovative Gift Aid’ in London next month.
Gower, MD of Gift Aid recovery specialists GAIN, is a passionate and creative advocate of ensuring that charities get all they can out of the Gift Aid scheme.
At the morning course on 5 May at London’s Strand Palace Hotel, Gower will first cover the Gift Aid fundamentals, including the declaration and processing.
He will then offer advice on extending Gift Aid effectively to other areas of fundraising which may not normally be thought of as qualifying for Gift Aid, including:
* raffles
* memberships
* entrance fees
* auctions
* home collecting boxes
* celebrity donations
All delegates will receive two free functional tools to take away which they can use to implement innovative Gift Aid straight away.
UK Fundraising’s Howard Lake will chair the event, and offer a brief session on how to use the web and social media to boost Gift Aid take-up.
The session from 09.30 – 12.45 costs £65 + VAT (for registered charities and voluntary organisation staff), and £150 + VAT for staff from for-profit/commercial organisations.
