Tesco has chosen the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign as its Charity of the Year 2009 and aims to help raise £3 million.
As well as the launch at Tesco’s Kensington store in London, there will be 32 regional launches around the UK.
Britain’s biggest retailer has over 300,000 staff who will all be encouraged to support the partnership and help raise funds.
Tesco raised £4,428,000 for the British Red Cross, its 2007 charity of the year, and aimed to raise £2.5 million for its 2008 charity, Marie Curie Cancer Care.
