The Guide to Grants for Individuals in Need 24/25 - hold an umbrella over someone's head

Feb’s riveting First Friday considers new cars and old problems…

Howard Lake | 18 February 2009 | Blogs

Despite a full house at The Hub on 6 Feb everyone got their questions in, and for three hours no one went for coffee!
Topics covered featured raising £20m for a new ecologically sound car – no petrol or electricity! Funds for Africa, special teaching skills and vulnerable women in the UK. We all found that almost every technique discussed could be adapted for each charity, hence no one left the room for a second longer than necessary.
Next time (6 March) we hope to have the video camera there and interview some of the participants, bringing it to you on line and the First Friday fundraisers group on Facebook. We will also start with a demonstration of QR codes at 2.00 and that will hopefully spark some more discussion, but do bring any fundraising or organisational questions that we can help with.
See you there…
