Alan Clayton on fundraising through and beyond a down-turn

Alan Clayton, Managing Director of The Good Agency’s Voluntary Sector Division, has shared his thoughts, advice and occasional “rants”, as he described them, on how to fundraise through and beyond the recession.
Speaking to an invited audience of over 100 senior fundraisers at the Waterloo Action Centre, London, on the morning of 12 December, Clayton began with some background on the recession, before explaining clearly its implications.
Ably but unintentionally assisted by a rogue golden balloon, which rose and fell throughout his presentation, he presented a number of positive steps that fundraisers should take to make the best of the current economic slowdown.
