What is your charity doing to make your donors feel special and valued? What kind of impressions or memories are you creating for your donors that will motivate them to give again and stay involved?
If you or members of your staff team think they can’t do anything special beyond the personalised letters or phone calls – then I would encourage you to think again…
But before you do that watch this clip quickly on You Tube: You Tube – Johnny the Bagger
It is a pretty amazing and moving real life story about a young boy with Down Syndrome who helps people pack their food at a supermarket.
Inspired by a presentation about customer loyality Johnny decided to do something very simple yet very powerful for customers he was helping at the supermarket… and what he did had powerful ripple effects for the whole organisation.

One simple idea, sometimes from the most unlikely person in your team, can truly help delight your charity’s donors…
So go on – listen to Johhny’s story, share it with your team and beyond and ask them… what can you do to encourage donors to stay involved in our cause? What is your personal signature on your job
