Funding the Future to take place on 9 December

This year’s ‘Funding the Future’ conference will take place on 9 December at Central Hall Westminster. The sector’s largest ‘meet the funders’ event is now in its seventh year.
It consists of a morning plenary session followed by seven concurrent afternoon streams to enable charities to meet funders interested in their field of work.
This year’s programme, organised by Action Planning with ACEVO, UK Fundraising, CAF and Blackbaud, features around 40 speakers including:
* The first major speeches the sector by the new Third Sector Minister, Kevin Brennan MP, and the new Shadow Third Sector Minister, Nick Hurd MP.
* Big Lottery Fund Chief Executive, Peter Wanless
* Futurebuilders Chief Executive, Jonathan Lewis,
* Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts Chief Executive, Alan Bookbinder
* Lloyds TSB Foundations Chief Executive, Linda Kelly
* Heritage Lottery Fund Chief Executive, Carole Souter
Action Planning will also present at the event the results of research it has conducted in associatioon with Third Sector and Blackbaud into the leadership and management of Britain’s fastest growing charities.
In the afternoon, delegates will have the choice of seven specialist streams: 1) Health and Social Care 2) Community regeneration and Fighting Poverty 3) Children and Young People 4) Arts and Heritage 5) International Development, 6) Environment 7) Faith based organisations.
