£720,000 grants for combating violence against women and children

London Councils is to give £720,000 over four years to two projects tackling violence against women and children.
The Women’s Resource Centre has been awarded a grant of £600,000 which will enable the centre to provide important advice, training and support to organisations that help women and children who have been victims of abuse.
A further grant of £120,000 has been awarded to Imkaan to support its work with Black, Asian and minority ethnic voluntary and community organisations. These include refuges for women and children who are fleeing domestic violence.
