I have always been a bit wary of using Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page as a resource for prospect research. If even I can edit it and add content to it, then it is even more in need of double checking than other resources. However, I note from the prospect research email group that a wiki has been started on prospect research http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prospect_research/. It is currently a short entry, but hopefully it will grow.
Anyway, I decided to edit the entry, and add a link. I should have checked the guidelines, before doing so. As an associate editor for fResource http://fresource.info, I cannot add a link to that site. So, if any of you would like to add that hyperlink, and help to develop the wiki in other ways, please do so.
I felt OK adding a link to Mat Iredale’s The Prospect Research Toolkit (www.fundraisingresearch.info), another excellent website for prospect researchers.
