Latics Fans urged to dig deep and cover up with Factor 50

Howard Lake | 6 August 2008 | News

Buckets collecting cash for the Factor 50 Campaign, a charity dedicated to helping people suffering from skin cancer, will be present at Boundary Park on Saturday.
Fans attending the opening home match of the season versus Millwall are being urged to help the fight against malignant melanoma which claimed the life of ex-Latics legend Ernie Cooksey last month.
Gillian Nuttall, fundraising manager of Factor 50, lives in Shaw and is a lifelong Latics fan. She said: “We hope that Latics and Millwall fans will dig deep and help us raise cash for
Christies Hospital. All the money raised will go towards funding research and equipment in the skin cancer department at Christies.”
