Voting opens in National Lottery Awards

Public voting in the National Lottery Awards, the annual search to find “the UK’s favourite Lottery-funded projects”, is now open.

Seventy Lottery-funded projects have made it to this stage, competing to win £2,000 to spend on the project.

The award categories are:

Getting Started with TikTok: An Introduction to Fundraising & Supporter Engagement

* Best Arts Project
* Best Education Project
* Best Environment Project
* iVillage.co.uk Award for Best Health Project
* Best Heritage Project
* Best Sports Project
* Woman magazine Award for Best Charity/Voluntary Project

The three projects in each category with the most votes will progress to the final round of public voting.

Voting closes on 4 July 2008, and votes can be cast online or via the telephone. The winners will be announced on a special BBC1 show in the autumn.
