Howard Lake | 11 June 2008 | News

An auction of Jerry Hall’s wardrobe has raised £28,000 for Emmaus, the charity for homeless people.
Kerry Taylor of Kerry Taylor Auctions, which ran the auction, said of Jerry Hall: “Her personal style combined with the sensuous figure hugging designs created for her by great British designers such as Antony Price, Bruce Oldfield and Vivienne Westwood are 100% glamorous, feminine and sexy.
“A new generation of women will now be able to enjoy wearing these clothes from all parts of the globe. Jerry has cleared some wardrobe space and helped homeless people at the same time.”
Hall’s wedding dress, worn at her wedding to Mick Jagger in 1990, sold for £2,420; a Vivienne Westwood diamante studded jacket sold for £1440; and an Antony Price black velvet ball gown sold for £1140, all of them considerably above estimate.
