Beth Kanter to speak at IFC in Holland
Blogger, trainer and nonprofit social networking expert Beth Kanter is to speak for the first time at this year’s International Fundraising Congress in Holland.
She will be running at 6.5 hour hands-on Masterclass entitled “Hands-on learning – social media tools to support fundraising”.
Kanter publishes the prolific and insightful Beth’s Blog: How Nonprofits Can Use Social Media in which she examines “nonprofit technology, educational technology, adoption challenges, information design, visual thinking, creativity, ICT in the developing world.” She also the weekly NPTech Tag Roundup at NetSquared which is a remarkable attempt to keep track of developments in the arena of nonprofits’ use of web 2.0 and social networking tools.
She has also personally demonstrated the fundraising effectiveness of some of these tools, such as her campaign for Cambodian bloggers and her campaign for the Sharing Foundation which won her the Network for Good Charity Badge/Yahoo Competition.
Kanter’s is one of 16 Masterclasses at this year’s International Fundraising Congress which runs from 14-17 October 2008.
Another new media fundraising Masterclass will also be run by by Marcelo Iniarra and Mike Walton on “A hands on guide to digital fundraising strategy driven by innovation”.
