St John Ambulance sets up new viral marketing campaign

Howard Lake | 7 January 2008 | News

St John Ambulance has launched a viral marketing campaign with digital direct marketing agency Squeeze.
The Save a Life campaign communicates life-saving first aid information across a mix of emails, banner ads, website information and social networking site Facebook.
People can sign up to receive regular emails containing easy to understand graphical first-aid tips. The acquisition side of the programme drives people to a landing page where they can see ‘Treating Burns’ – the first in the series of first aid tips. The sign-up process enables people to receive the guides by email and share information on Facebook, forward the emails to friends or make donations to St John.
Support development manager at St John Les Beech said: “Squeeze has really come to terms with our requirements and sough to develop not just a highly creative campaign, but one which meets the needs of our acquisition brief so exactly that we are considering how we might roll out the campaign in our offline communications in 2008.”
