Nick Peel, Head of Retail Operations at real estate investment trust Land Securities, has joined the board of Edinburgh charity Streetwork to help develop commercial opportunities.
He will take one day a month off from his job as part of Land Securities’ corporate social responsibility programme. He will advise the charity, which works with homeless and young people, on business matters including marketing, retail and operating commercial property.
Tam Hendry, Director of Streetwork, said: “With his combination of business acumen and a dedication to helping some of the most vulnerable people in society, Nick will be an asset in developing our work to help get our clients’ lives back on track.”
Land Securities allows each employee one day’s leave each month to carry out good work in the community.
