ICSA to hold conference for company secretaries in the not-for-profit sector

The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) is to hold a conference for company secretaries in a range of non-profit making organisations including charities, social enterprises and industrial and provident societies. The Charity Secretaries Conference and Exhibition will take place on 30 January 2008 at Gibson Hall, Bishopsgate, London, and is aimed at company secretaries, trustees, chief executives, lawyers, auditors and consultants.
The programme will bring together speakers from government, regulatory bodies and practitioners providing both theoretical and practical understanding to the challenges introduced by the Charities Act, Companies Act 2006 and the ongoing HM Treasury review.
The event will be chaired by David Brindle, the Public Services Editor of The Guardian and speakers will include Jane Hobson, Head of Policy at the Charity Commission and Jane Ryder, Chief Executive of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
The one day fee is £225 for members and £250 for non-members.
