Consultation on fundraising guidelines nearing completion

A final consultation seminar to discuss the draft ‘Guiding Principles for Fundraising’ in Ireland will be held in the Gresham Hotel on Thursday 8th November from 2pm – 5pm. The closing date for submissions in response to the document is Friday 16th November 2007.

The Working Group set up in July 2007 (based on feedback from the second consultation phase) has completed a draft statement of ‘Guiding Principles for Fundraising’ setting out a proposed list of overarching principles for fundraisers in Ireland. This document is now available for consultation and is being widely circulated.

Also on November 8th at the Gresham in the morning will be the annual conference of the Irish Charity Tax Reform Group — ‘Charities towards 2012 – what’s in store?’ Minister Pat Carey TD who is responsible for charities is the keynote speaker. Registration for the conference also includes attendance at the consultation seminar .
