Major donor conference in Scotland

The Institute of Fundraising is running its first conference on Major Gift Fundraising in Scotland on 4 September at the Hilton, Glasgow.

Opening plenary speaker is major philanthropist Dame Stephanie Shirley, founder of the Shhirley Foundation.

The event is designed for those who are thinking about implementing a major gift fundraising programme as well as those who already have a programme in place.

The conference will cover topics such as
*Prospect research – how to find donors
*Building a case for support and making the ask
*Working with volunteer committees on major donor acquisition
*Donor cultivation

Head of events at the Institute, Kirsty Thomson, said that booking has been brisk for the event, but there are some places still available.
