Great nonprofit online advertising

In preparation for a recent digital planning day with one of our charity clients, I was chatting with Rik Haslam (our digital creative director) about some of his favourite examples of nonprofit online advertising from around the world.
He came-up with a range of great ads showing just what can be achieved when you really think creatively about the brief – so I thought I’d share a few of them here (just click on each to see the ad in a new window):
Aware lets you ‘re-touch’ a child’s bruises with your mouse to raise awareness of the level of domestic violence that goes unreported.
The Friends anti-bullying campaign illustrates in a wonderfully simple way just what bullying makes children feel like.
Click on the shaker to mix your own road crash cocktail in this anti drink-drive ad.
Finally, not for a nonprofit but a great example of just how much you can pack-in to an online ad – and one that always makes me smile. Type-in your name, turn on your speakers, and enjoy.
